Geologically\, the lake was formed 8000 years ago as a result of a powerful rock avalanche\, which later created a natural 300 m-high dam.\n Lake Kaindy\nLake Kaindy (Kaiyndy)\, located in the Tien Shan mountain system at an altitude of about 1900 meters above sea level\, is a natural landmark of Kazakhstan. It was formed in January 1911 after a strong earthquake\, which resulted in a mountain collapse that blocked the river – and the valley was filled with water. In the late 80s of the last century\, the area of ​​the lake decreased after the passage of a mudflow flood.
