Auli is a land blessed with natural and cultural diversity. A land where people live in the lap of pristine nature. A land where trade once flourished between the great Himalayan Kingdoms. A land of heritage, festivals and rituals, a land of green meadows and snow-covered mountains. Welcome to Auli, it’s a nature’s paradise.
With elevation from 2,519 mts to 3,050 mts above sea level, Auli turns into an exciting snow field during winters. 3 km long ski slopes in Auli attract beginners and equally excite professional skiers alike. Tall, stately Deodar (Cedar) forests flank Auli ski slopes and help cut the wind velocity to an ideal level. Powdered snow ski slopes in Auli are considered amongst the best in Asia by skiers from different countries. Over the years, more than a dozen International and national-level skiing championships have been successfully conducted in Auli. For those who yearn for a winter adventure in India – be it skiing, snowboarding, snow treks or snow games – no other place matches Auli.

Day 3 (29-Dec): Skiing in Auli
7-8 am: Breakfast
Morning in the mountains is to experience not to waste in the blanket, enjoy the beautiful morning of Auli and get ready for our first trek.
Auli Gorson Bugyal Trek(Optional )
Trekking in winter comes with bundles of fun, more when it has two befuddling meadows (known as ‘bugyal’ in the Garhwali language) and their whispering beauty covered in white snow, which in seasons other than winter is laid down in a flurry of colours. This is Auli Gorson Bugyal Winter trekking which inspires even the most tentative steps in this kind of cool adventure.
Have a hearty breakfast before packing your bags to explore the exciting sights offered by Auli. Continue your adventure by trekking uphill to Gorson Bugyal, at a distance of around 6 km. A remarkable trekking route that passes through dense alpine forests of oak and deodar trees, will take you to the rolling alpine meadow of Gorson Bugyal at an altitude of upto 3,049 m. During your trek, do not miss out on the spellbinding sights of the verdant vistas silhouetted against the backdrop of the high mountains of the mighty Himalayas romancing with the clouds. After the day’s trek, rest in Auli at night and the next day, spend exploring the natural beauty of the premier skiing destination.
We can also head towards Chhatarkund Lake, a couple of kilometres from Gurso Bugyal, located in the middle of a dense forest. It is a crystal-clearsweet water lake.

Day 4 (30-Dec) : Auli to Chopta
After early breakfast, we will start our 12-13 hour journey to Chopta.
Popularly referred to as the ‘mini Switzerland’ of Uttarakhand, Chopta (at an approximate altitude of 2,608 m) is a slice of paradise tucked away in the Garhwal Himalayas. Surrounded by bugyals or velvety meadows and pristine snow-capped peaks, Chopta is an all-year holiday destination: pleasant in summer, rain-fresh in monsoon and a snow-clad fairyland in winter. Chopta is at the epicentre of the Panch Kedar – the five most sacred Shiva temples in the state. On its left are located Kedarnath and Madmaheshwar shrines and on the right, Rudranath and Kalpeshwar, and just above it, the Tungnath temple.
We will reach later afternoon and explore the beauty of Chopta.

Day 5 (31-Dec): Chandrashila trek
Early morning we will start for a beautiful trek named Chandrashila trek.
Chopta Chandrashila trek is a peek into the Himalayas’ vibrant spring colors. A popular hike for mountain lovers of all types, this hike is awash with flowers, particularly Rhododendrons pink and red in the summer, while winters are a misty hue with enough space to throw fun in the snow that is falling. The entire tour takes you on an entire loop to Chandrashila Peak, passing by the stunning Deoriatal Lake, and offers a stunning collection of breathtaking snow-peaks along the way. The five-day itinerary is unparalleled in the beauty of nature, thrilling difficulties, speed of light and efficiency. The best parts of the trek vary from stunning views of the mountain’s summit to the warmth of the green forest, sparking interest in many mountain enthusiasts. You could be a nature treasurer, bird-watching amateur, or a shutterbug with a dream of capturing the drama in the highlands, Chopt-Chandrashila-Deorital is a trek for all and fails none.
We will return by late afternoon, we will explore the spellbound ness of Chopta. Not New Year’s with loud music but some are peaceful like mountains also. Some old songs, chai some games and not WhatsApp wali but real wishes from the heart for the new year.
The entire night we will enjoy the party which will be in our hearts forever.
